symptom tracking

Red alert, day 32. Lockdown, day 22. Suffolk has 458 (+36) confirmed cases in today’s figures, neighboring Essex has 1484 (+66, about 2X population) cases and Tower Hamlets has 483 (+10, about 0.5X population) confirmed cases as of this morning. The UK has recorded 88,621 positive results (after 367,667 tests, some on the same person). There have been 11,329 (+717) patient deaths.

Boris Johnson is out of the hospital. Parliament will meet partly online when it returns from recess – apparently leaders will still be face to face in the chamber. Electronic voting would be a big departure from allowed practices.

France has extended its lockdown to 11 May. Schools and creches will reopen first. The UK may be locked down for another month, according to this afternoon’s briefing. Deaths are expected to continue rising this week and then plateau for another three weeks.

I rested most of the day and now have a sore throat. I have finally worked out how to download a symptom tracker app when I’m in the UK and Android thinks I’m in the US. The tracker probably thinks I’m in the US too.
